Project Altadena

Altadena, California suffered immense devastation and loss following the Eaton Fire, one of the Los Angeles wildfires that ravaged Southern California in January 2025.

I covered the community’s response in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire, which claimed 19 lives and destroyed more than 9,000 structures in and around Altadena.

I interviewed residents, community organizers, artists, lawmakers, and business owners doing their part to support their neighbors through this difficult time.

Project Altadena is a 12-article series covering the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. Below is a selection of highlights from this project.
